1. How and when you first met Harry Roseman - I first encountered Harry at a dinner party at Brian Wallace’s house. I really met Harry when I saw his work in the bathroom at the ByrdcliffeArts Center. He was not there, but his painted lines, which weave around the bathroom walls and encircle the fixtures, solidified something. I would not usually say this about an artwork, but that piece brought home his disposition, intelligence and humor.
2. A statement about your work and/or a brief autobiographical statement- My world is a strange place. Everything is what it seems to be, and every thing is other things. This place is other places, and now seems to have happened before. There is no fantasy or hallucination. It all fits too well.
