Vera Iliatova

—I first met Harry in 2004 when I was interviewing for a job at CAA

2. A statement about your work and/or a brief autobiographical statement.
—-Vera Iliatova was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia, and moved to the United States in 1991. She received a BA from Brandeis University, and an MFA from the Yale School of Art. She also spent a year studying at Sorbonne University in Paris. Vera Iliatova attended Skowhegan School of Art in 2004, and held a Free Studio Space from the Marie Walsh Sharpe Foundation in 2007/2008.

Vera Iliatova is represented by Monya Rowe Gallery in NYC, where she recently had her second solo exhibition. Her work was included in many exhibitions both in the US and abroad, some venues include Galleria Glance in Torino, Italy, Mogadishni Gallery in Copenhagen, New Langton Art Center in San Francisco, Stephen D. Payne Gallery at Mass. College of Art in Boston and an upcoming exhibition at LaMontagne Gallery, Boston. Her work was reviewed in the New York Times, Art in America, the New York Sun, Gay City News, and other publications.
