I think I first met you (Harry Roseman) in 1995 or so when I was asked to give a lecture at Vassar. I imagine you must have called me though it could have been Peter. I remember the dinner and getting the train back to Manhattan in the dark. I also vividly remember getting the train to Poughkeepsie in the daylight and thinking what a beautiful ride it was and how uncomfortable the seats were. I didn’t think at the time that I’d be doing it twice a week for eight years in a row.
