1. How and when you first met Harry Roseman — I first met Harry when I was an MFA student at Yale University, studying with his wife, Catherine Murphy, probably at a student art reception. I really remember getting to know Harry when I was living in Northwestern Connecticut and I drove out to Poughkeepsie for a visit. He took my picture upon my arrival.

2. A statement about your work and/or a brief autobiographical statement. — I was born and raised in New York City where I still live. I took my second steps in the Guggenheim museum, where the ramp made it easy to get going. I went to Cornell University undergrad and Yale University for grad. I’ve done many residencies and have had one-person exhibits of my work in New York and London. I recently moved into a studio with lots of windows and a lot of character in Long Island City. I spend most of my time there painting naked men. — March, 2008
