1. How and when you first met Harry Roseman
–Around 1970. HR’s wife Catherine Murphy was having a show at the First Street Gallery, a coop, and CM and HR were sitting for the show. My Coop, the Bowery Gallery was a half a block away. If not then, then it might have been at the Alliance of Figurative Artists meetings, or generally from our shared art world.
2. A statement about your work and/or a brief autobiographical statement.
–I do paintings and sculpture from imagination and from life. The paintings are more often from life and the sculptures more often from imagination. Portraits, figures and still lives mostly. The figures often have a mythological cast. I quit art school after one year. I moved to Northern Vermont when I was 35. I am married to a painter (Marjorie Kramer).
